EZVIZ Camera Not Connecting to WiFi (“Device is offline”)? Here’s How to Fix It Fast

Evziv camera not connecting to wifi, evziv camera not working

If your EZVIZ camera is not connecting to WiFi and you get the strange error message “Device is offline,” you’re not alone. Connection issues can pop up without warning, whether for indoor or outdoor use. But the good news is, they’re often easy to fix. Here’s how to troubleshoot and get your camera back online.

1. Check for Weak Wi-Fi Signal

The most common reason for your EZVIZ camera showing as offline is a weak Wi-Fi connection. This often happens when the camera is too far from the router or when thick walls are blocking the signal.

  • Move the camera closer to the router during setup
  • If moving it isn’t possible, use a Wi-Fi extender to boost the signal

You can also check the signal strength directly in the EZVIZ app:

  • Open the app → Tap “More” → “Settings” → “Device Network Settings” → “Check Wi-Fi Signal”

Make sure you’re using a 2.4GHz network—EZVIZ cameras typically don’t support 5GHz during setup.

2. Adjust Your Router Settings

Your router settings could be blocking the connection. To fix this:

  • Enter your router’s IP in a browser (often 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1)
  • Log in using your credentials (usually found on the router)
  • Turn off MAC filtering
  • Enable DHCP
  • Disable AP Isolation / Client Isolation

Also, temporarily disable your firewall or VPN during setup—both can interfere with connectivity.

3. Try a Different Network

If your EZVIZ still won’t connect, test it on another WiFi network or mobile hotspot.
If it works there, then your home network is likely the issue, not the camera.

4. Restart Your Setup

A quick reboot can often fix unexpected glitches.

Restart this in order:

  • Unplug your router, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in
  • Power cycle your EZVIZ camera (unplug and plug it back in)
  • If connected via Ethernet, unplug and reconnect the cable
  • Reboot your phone, especially if you’re setting up through the EZVIZ app

This helps reset network connections and clears minor software hiccups.

5. Reset the Camera

If nothing else works, do a factory reset. This clears outdated settings and gives you a clean setup.

How to reset:

  • Hold down the reset button (usually for 10–15 seconds)
  • Wait for the camera to reboot
  • Reconnect it using the EZVIZ app

Final Thoughts

If your EZVIZ camera is not connecting to WiFi, the fix is usually quick—weak signals, wrong settings, or simple app glitches. Try the steps above before giving up. And if nothing helps, don’t hesitate to reach out to us or directly to the EZVIZ support for a deeper look.
